First Impressions

Hi.  I'm quite interested in seeing how things are progressing here.  So, I
grabbed the latest via rsync as directed and tried to follow the
introduction http://bazaar.canonical.com/IntroductionToBzr.

What a bad first impression.  The very 1st step doesn't work.

I did make a file ~/.bazaar/bazaar.conf to set my email, by bzr whoami
doesn't use it.

I ran bzr under strace, and it doesn't even try to open such a file.
