Theres a small headache here at the moment - tree roots are the right
thing to do, but they were disabled after a number of UI issues and bugs
appeared.
I think we need to put them back in straight after a release and just
work through the fallout.
The question about when is significant too - there are only a small
number of specific use cases tree roots deal with - when this is a
relevant thing to do is an important consideration.
