Yes, this does raise some flags, but it is also a very interesting idea.
I think the key things to bear in mind are:
 * Barriers to entry
 * Cluttering the UI

In other words - I think that the common behaviours should be trivial,
and trivially discoverable. Complex facilities should be available but
not clutter the ui - i.e. be hidden commands like selftest, or otherwise
'out of the way'.
