Actually, it's called a "slice" in python, and it would be just
confusing to make that analogy, since A[10:12] means [A[10], A[11]] in
Python. It's a "range" open on the right.

I have not reread all the posts arguing about this questio, but my
impression is that the current opinion poll looks like:

A:B  nobody
A-B  Rusty
A..B everyone else
