[PATCH] --revision allows extra revision ids

The problem is that all the good characters are already taken. {}, [],
() all have meanings in shell. I think people just need to get used to
the idea that they might need to quote the entries that they give to
programs.

If you can come up with something better, you are welcome to offer it.
