thanks for reporting back. I am definitely interested in finding out
what fixed this, to make sure it gets backported, but there is a
good chance it has been tagged as a fix already and will make it
into stable.

With that said I don't have a lot of time (none really) to chase this
especially if its fixed so unless you find the time to bisect it and
report back I am willing to just be happy that it is fixed
