I propose to backport the following patches to the 2.8 tree:

- [3/9] nvidia abstractions cleanups
- [5/9] skype profile - even if it's a quite big patch. OTOH there are 
  only additions, so it should be safe ;-)
- [6/9] add XCompose to abstractions/X
- [9/9] dnsmasq

The other patches (/proc -> /@{PROC} and @{pid} are too noisy for a 
minor release IMHO and don't bring a real benefit, so I don't think we 
should backport them.
