My application requires libgstreamermm >= 0.10.10 in order to play the audios. The reason is that there is an unfixed segmentation fault bug in libgstreamermm-0.10.9 that prevents my software from playing audio/video files.

If you are using Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal), it's likely that you are having libgstreamermm-0.10.9. Please downgrade to libgstreamermm-0.10.8, or upgrade to libgstreamermm-0.10.10 (you can use the libgstreamermm-0.10.10.deb that comes with Ubuntu 13.04) so that you can play audios/videos.
