Thanks a lot for submitting your app to ubuntu!

Here is a quick review (I didnt test build or run the package though)

A good try at packaging but here are a few points

1. When I run licensecheck on files It shows as *No copyright* , GPL v3 which is rather contrasting :)

When I looked around I found the headers like this:

Copyleft (CC) 2012 Voidcode terkelsorensen at gmail.com

Which could be better off like Copyright (C) <Authors Name>

AUTHORS file also has the Copyleft (CC) thing which can be scrubbed and modified to include Authors name and email ID

The description in debian/control can be better worded to describe the functionality of the application (As I could not understand what does the package do)

The d/copyright states 
Files: *
License: GPL-3
 The full text of the GPL is distributed in
 /usr/share/common-licenses/GPL-3 on Debian systems. 

without listing copyright and the year and Authors name

Refer http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.0/ for more info on format of d/copyright

The d/changelog can be collapsed to a single entry I guess as this is the first time you are submitting a package to ARB
