Ok, I've managed to get everything working in /opt now I think. I merged
your changes to this branch [1], created a source package from r70 and
uploaded it in a tarball in myapps. I've also uploaded it to this PPA
[2] and should start building soon.

The only thing I modified in the packaging was to apply the patches to
the code and produce a native package after dholbach suggested it to
simplify things. Let me know if that's ok for the ARB.
