 A few things you might want to fix:
 - it seems some of the files you ship in the source code have GPL2 headers. Either you relicense them or you need to document in debian/copyright which parts are GPL2 and which are GPL3
 - the version in debian/changelog should be something like <release>-0extras12.04.1
 - in debian/control it'd be good to have a short and long description (cf: 'apt-cache show gedit')
