I pushed a couple of changes to https://code.launchpad.net/~dholbach/ubuntu-app-reviews/kping which you might want to merge.

Also would it be nice if you fixed the following things:
 - resubmit the app using 'quickly submitubuntu', so everything will be installed into /opt for you.
 - fix this issue: "Sorry: IndentationError: ('unindent does not match any outer indentation level', ('/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/kping/treeview.py', 5, 42, '\tdef on_cell_toggled(self, widget, path):\n'))" which I get when trying to install the app. Running 'python -tt FILENAME' should be able to tell you in which file you have indentation issues.
