Thanks for your submission and sorry for the delay in responding to it.

I quickly built your source, here are my notes:
 - The package is installing outside of /opt instead of installing in /opt/extras.ubuntu.com/equalx/
 - Your package includes an empty sbin directory
 - Your .desktop file contains a kde4 prefix for no obvious reason, for extras.ubuntu.com, it should be: /usr/share/applications/extras-equalx.desktop (only exception to the /opt rule)
 - /usr/share/menu/equalx shouldn't be needed at all and triggers a maintainer script at installation which isn't allowed for packages on extras.ubuntu.com


Other than these few problems, it looks good.

Please re-submit an updated tarball and we'll be happy to review it again.
