Thanks for the update. I see that you have a personal package archive (PPA) on Launchpad:

https://launchpad.net/~sreevisakh2007/+archive/sv

Instead of submitting a .deb file for us to review, please create a source package using the command 'debuild -S' and upload the source package to your PPA with a command like this one (updating the version number to whatever the version number for apt-backup is):

dput ppa:sreevisakh2007/sv apt-backup_0.1-0extras12.04.1_source.changes
