Hi App Review Board,

Every month the Consumer Apps team discusses the applications we want to
highlight in the Software Centre and thus which banners will be shown
whenever a user opens it.

For January we'd like to have a solid list of Free Software apps to
highlight, and rather than choosing apps from the archive as we've been
doing until now, we've thought that it would be nice to have some
ARB-submitted apps in there to bring some freshness. This would give
users some new applications to discover and we would be supporting Free
Software app authors by promoting their work.

We've come up with this list:

* MyUnity
* RStudio
* Ubuntu Tweak

What I'd like to ask you is if you could help us with packaging these
apps for Oneiric by January, which is when the new banners will be
published.

Some details:

- MyUnity: already on the queue, has a PPA, has entered the archive for
Precise (https://myapps.developer.ubuntu.com/dev/apps/437/)

- Ubuntu Tweak: already on the queue, has a PPA
(https://myapps.developer.ubuntu.com/dev/apps/462/)

- RStudio: already on the queue, needs packaging
(https://myapps.developer.ubuntu.com/dev/apps/251/)

I think all of them except from RStudio are low hanging fruit items in
the queue, as they're all packaged already, and I think they also bring
a good opportunity to start seeing the first Free Software apps released
in extras.ubuntu.com for Oneiric.

Do you think you could give us a hand?

Thanks!

Regards,
David.
