Hello world,

Array CD 7 is ready. This is the seventh in a series of milestone CD
images, released when they're known to be reasonably free of showstopper
CD-build or installer bugs, while representing very current snapshots of
Hoary. You can download it here:

  http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hoary/array-7/

See http://www.ubuntu.com/wiki/Archive for access instructions.

Pre-release versions of Hoary are *not* encouraged for anyone needing a
stable system or anyone who is not comfortable running into occasional
breakage. They *are* recommended for Ubuntu developers and those who
want to help in testing, reporting, and fixing bugs.

As with earlier milestones, this release includes both the Install CD
and the Live CD. It follows on from the Hoary Preview; the next
milestone is the Hoary Release Candidate. If you haven't reported bugs
that are annoying you yet, you're running out of time! :-)

Some notable installer-related improvements and bug-fixes in this
release:

  * Locale generation (particularly in the live CD, for some languages)
    is much faster.

  * Various fixes for certain mixed SATA/IDE systems, that were reverted
for the preview due to last-minute regressions. We believe that
those regressions have now been fixed.

  * Swap files won't be mistakenly used as resume partitions for
    suspend-to-disk.

  * Multiple X keymap selection fixes for the live CD and for powerpc
    systems.

  * Improvements to the first-stage keymap selector; it now shows you
which keymap you've selected by pressing keys, and lets you test it.

  * Netboot installations now ask for the mirror even in non-expert
    mode.

  * Support for netboot installations on Pegasos systems (requires
recent beta version of Open Firmware).

  * Fixed console font setup for installations in Greek (and probably a
    few other languages).

  * Fix for dpkg Replaces ordering bug, which had been causing issues
    with language pack installation.
