Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34810

Affects: muine (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I am running the latest updated Dapper as of 10:30AM(EST), 13 March
2006. Muine is at version 0.8.4-1ubuntu1. This is a clean install
directly from Flight 5 with no configuration file changes.

When I start muine from the launcher, nothing happens. When I start it from the terminal, I get the following error.
===================
scotth at momo:~$ muine

Unhandled Exception: System.Exception: Failed to initialise the audio backend:
Failed to create a GStreamer play object
in <0x00085> Muine.PlaylistWindow:SetupPlayer ()
in <0x00188> Muine.PlaylistWindow:.ctor ()
in <0x00379> Muine.Global:Main (System.String[] args)
===============

I can play music with rhythmbox, so gstreamer is working properly, it
seems that muine just doesn't want to start. I have no plugins loaded
save what is installed by default. I installed inotify and trayicon
plugins to see if they would fix it, but the problem persists.

I also tried using an old .gnome2/muine folder, but that did not fix the
problem either.

I looked at the other muine bug reports and none of them seemed to be
duplicates of this one.
