This evening, I decided to reboot into Breezy to see if I could come up
with a solution to the problem I described in my last email.
Thankfully, this time it all worked. I have no idea why it didn't
work yesterday, or why it worked today. Both times, the USplash
worked just fine.
If I can get 3D accelleration working, I might switch to breezy for good.
I forgot to mention that after configuring USplash, X does not start
properly. Instead, the LCD does some sort of neat glowing
slightly changing color configuration that looks like some screensaver
I used to use. It's completely unresponsive,
ctrl-alt-backspace doesn't do anything, nor does ctrl-alt-F[1-7], or
ctrl-alt-del.

I will put this on my laptop testing page later on today.
