Hi everybody,

this is the eighth issue of the MOTU report, bringing you up to scratch
on all the news of MOTU land. The last few weeks have been quite hectic,
since we were all trying to present you with the nicest and cleanest
Universe for the Breezy Badger release. The TOFIX lists have been
shrinking from day to day, but there are still some bugs to tackle and
some packages to get building again.

We want to welcome Trent Lloyd (Lathiat) and Barry deFreese (bddebian)
warmly to the team. Both of them contributed to it quite a while before
becoming MOTUs and (along with others) they now form the backbone of the
team.

A big thanks goes out to Benjamin Montgomery and Barry deFreese who
worked tirelessly in the last days to get [1] and [2] clean again. Of
course a lot of others got involved here and the folks in #ubuntu-bugs
and #ubuntu-desktop did their part for cleaning up. Andrew Mitchell
should get a medal for special services in Malone cleaning too (look at
his Karma value! [3]) Thanks a lot to each and every one of you.

Another nice thing was the amount of MOTU hopefuls that turned up in the
channel and tried their best to help us out. A MOTU Ruby team [4] was
recently founded and quite a lot of MOTUs play in the Desktop team [5]
as well. It's charming to see this high level of involvement and
integration of teams and processes.

If the MOTU report forgot to point out what was most important to YOU,
please add it to [6] next time. Thanks.
