Japanese installs are currently toast in the second stage, because the Linux console apparently doesn't support displaying Japanese fonts. Debian wraps base-config inside jfbterm for some locale encodings to get around this. Can we add jfbterm to Ship so that we can do the same trick? -- Colin Watson [cjwatson at canonical.com]
