Just look at the GNOME set. in "actions". There's also the FreeDesktop
naming spec:

Best thing to do is read the wiki:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/BreatheIconSet and understand the info
there. Once you got a handle on things, post your work on:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/BreatheIconSet/Submissions and put a
post up here about it. Work on what you like.
